Oh the Kitchen...

Our kitchen before. Maroon and purple! I never would have thought to put those two colors together...how....creative? The stenciling was so pretty too, and i don't know if you can tell from the picture, but lavender ceilings! (I'm really hoping you're catching my sarcasm here...)
This kitchen remodel is a 3 step process. This is a picture of what I've done to the kitchen to get me through until we can really rip it out this summer.
I can't wait to do our new floor and counter tops, etc this summer!

Barf-room

I was going to make some cute head-bands right now, but decided instead to gross people out with a disturbing 'before' image of our main bathroom.

This is the only picture I have of this bathroom before we re-did it because I didn't go in there. at all.
Is that a dead fish on the sink top, you ask? Why yes, yes it is.
Is that navy blue office carpet on the floor, you ask? Why yes, yes it is.
Who puts CARPET in a bathroom? Super gross- that's the first thing I did after we got the keys to the house, was drive over and rip up that sick carpet. There was no way that I was going to be walking around on someone's "bathroom carpet", if you know what I mean, and I think you do.

The floor was my favorite, I think it turned out so cute! No more "bathroom carpet"!

Living Room

Here is the before of our living room.... (these pictures were taken right before we purchased the house).

Yes, the mantle was painted pink. Old yucky dirty pergo floors.
Red! I actually love red, but this house had almost every room painted red. Not cool.

Oh and, the 80's called, they want their stairs back.

I included this picture because this is one of my favorite things in my house. It is cause for confusion though. People ask me all the time when I'm going to put pictures in my frames. Never, that's when.

As bad as these houses were before we started on them, our current home beats these both! We have been working on it for a year and still have tons left to do. It has been fun re-doing our homes, we like a challenge (obviously). All of our work has been done on a super-budget; it's taken a lot of creativity, we've incorporated a lot of used items, and became personal friends with the Home Depot & Lowes staff b/c we go in so often to check out their clearance items. It is fun to see what you can come up with on a budget. Anyways, I promise to post pictures soon!
