4

I can't believe that this little fellow is four years old!
Here he is, all grown up and Livin' la Vida Loca at Chuck E. Cheese! (I hate that place, just for the record.)
We ended the day with a good hour of playing Uno. Sam lives to play Uno. Happy Birthday my boy!

Oh the Loveliness of Fall

Fall is the most splendid of the seasons. There is just something so romantic about it. I love to bring out my sweaters and jeans again. And something about fall just begs for goodies to be baked. And who doesn't want a delicious baked good?
We participated in some good old fashioned autumn jolliness today by raking and jumping into leaf piles. We documented it on film for all to see. Life sure is different now that every event is a potential blog post.

One Happy Girl and One Sad Boy

G had her first day of kindergarten and it was exciting for us all. Except Bubba, he did not like it one bit.

This was little bubs after G went into the school building with her class. "No Sissy go school".

After school. Reunited and it feels so good.

Ballet

G started her first ballet and tap class. It was the cutest thing I've ever seen! All of those cute little girls in their cute little outfits.....so adorable.
This was G pre-class....she was so excited to take ballet. She's been begging to take ballet for months now. She's been asking for so long that I think she didn't believe me when I said I had signed her up for a class. She gave me a look like, yeah, I'll believe that when I see it. I think this is her 'I believe you!' look.

G and her cute friend L who we are taking the class with.

Now, does she look like future ballerina or what?!

Look at that shuffle step in action!

The Travels of Bubba and His Trusty Pink Suitcase

So, G has this pink Dora backpack/suitcase thing that S has adopted for his very own. He loves that thing. He pulls it all over the house and the yard. It's been really helpful actually. I am able to tell where he is at all times just by listening for the wheels of the suitcase rolling along. It's like a dog collar that jingles, only it's a pink suitcase, not a jingly dog collar, and he's a child, not a dog...

Kansas

We were lucky enough to be able to go to Kansas to visit for almost two weeks! We had a really great time and here are the pictures to prove it!

S with Aunt K

S had this cheerio stuck to his nose for like 5 minutes and didn't seem to mind or notice.

K and G played dress-up with some random gear from B's closet

Bubba on the swing at the park

Daddy and Bubba

This was hilarious. We were playing outside in the baby pool and Nick started spraying the hose for S. Well, S ran through it repeatedly until he was shivering and his lips turned purple. Come to think of it, maybe i should have stopped him before it got to that point....

Bath time!

Brenna did an awesome job of dressing G up as a pirate. Brenna and Kristin were such good sports...G had them playing pirates, dress-up, hide and seek, tea party, etc. pretty much non-stop while we were there.

The World-Famous Topeka Zoo

Auntie Alicia and G with the elephants

S sitting in his stroller sweating. It was so hot and humid that day.

G and Uncle Brady being goofy.

Bub getting a ride.

Snack break at the zoo with Grandma.

S helping Auntie Brenna read her newly acquired Harry Potter 7 book.

G helping Brenna play guitar for us.

Tea party! (well, mac-n-cheese party anyway)

Day at the Museum

A couple of weeks ago before we went to Kansas, I meant to post these, but never got around to it.
J is doing a summer job camps at a children's museum. It is a really cool sciency-type museum with loads of stuff for kids of all ages to do. And J gets a free family pass, so we will be spending a lot of time there, not only because we are cheap, but it is actually a cool place and my kids loved it.
My friends Lindsay and Kim and their kids went with us before our trip. Here are some pics!

G and S riding this bike thingy
G and her friend M. I can't tell you how many pictures I have of G and her friends where they are looking cute, and she is looking like this.
Dr. Bubba (with a urine cup in his mouth). There was a Dr.'s office where the kids could dress up like doctors and work on dolls.
Dr. G
This is what we call G's 'angry face'. Appropriately, you will see it if you have angered her. G's friend M that came with us, learned this the hard way.
Bubba climbing on things, that's what he does best these days.
